Reflection
While taking the Infant/Toddler course, I completed various observations both at my practicum site and through videos. Through these observations, I learned how important it is to remain objective when watching children at play. It is important to do this to accurately analyze what was observed. Once I completed the observation, I analyzed the types of development I documented. The following artifact provides my understanding of social/emotional development in a particular child.
During my third Practicum, I worked with a student with special needs. During an observation, I discovered his difficulty with understand certain math concepts. The analysis of my observation reflects this understanding. I used this information to develop an activity that would be geared more toward this students interest and understanding. These artifacts show my positive influence on on a child's development and learning.
